25-Jun-2010 (Fri) - Healing at Stateline

This Friday (25-Jun-2010), my middle daughter (Karahann) played music at Stateline Bar & Grill in Bristol, TN [see Karahann at Stateline in pic at left]. My older sister (TammyC) backed her up. It was a great show and the food was really good too. Lot's of friends and family came in support.

After it was all over a friend (Charles) [see pic at right] I hadn't seen in years approached me. He had a cast on his forearm encasing even his elbow. He had fallen on a hike and thought he sprained it, but x-rays showed it was fractured in 2 places. He actually wanted to ask about getting some people in his family healed; he planned on praying and laying hands on them himself. After we discussed some things, we walked out of the bar and I asked to pray for his wrist. He said I could, so we stopped on the sidewalk and I laid hands on his cast and commanded his wrist bones to mend. Charles suddenly felt tingling and heat at his wrist. His cast even heated up. Then after some time, he told me it was getting really cold. Afterward, he could move his wrist and fingers without pain. Jesus is awesome! He's excited about his up-and-coming x-ray; so am I!

Turns out, I accidentally left my cell phone in the bar and drove all the way home thinking my wife (TammyM) had it. She didn't, so she called the bar and they said they found it. I immediately drove back. By then it was about 11pm at night and the bar now had a cover charge at the door, and plenty of people were going in and out. I had to wait for the waiter who had my phone to get free... this took about 45 minutes. In the meantime, I saw my sister (TammyC) and her friend (Billie) sitting with a friend outside on the sidewalk having a beer. When I walked up they were talking about Jesus and my sister was telling her friend (Cindy) [see pic at left] about how my daughter (Kimberly) had been healed when she was an infant (see here). After the conversation, I asked Cindy if she had anything wrong with her. She said "No." But TammyC said, "Aw, c'mon, everybody our age has something! Anything at all?" Cindy then admitted she was supposed to have physical therapy on her neck this week. She couldn't lift her shoulders without pain, and her arms were tingling all the time. She also demonstrated she couldn't look back to her left without pain. I laid my hands on her neck, and it immediately got hot! She was in tears. Turns out she's a believer, but didn't fully understand Jesus moved in this way. After a few minutes, she could move her shoulders up and down, and could look back to the left all with no pain! And the tingling in her arms disappeared!

I'll say it again, Jesus is so awesome!

22-Jun-2010 (Tue) - Baptist Preacher Healed

I visited my father-in-law (Bobby) at the nursing home on a regular basis. There is a Baptist preacher that has an office there; he regularly loves on the inhabitants and does Bible Studies with them. He is a sweet man (Harold) and pastors a local Baptist church. In fact we sang there (see here for testimony).

I was outside of Bobby's room, when Harold saw me in the hall and came up and we started talking. In the conversation, he mentioned he was seeing a doctor about his foot and ankle. He was wearing a doctor-prescribed ankle brace. I asked him if I could pray for his ankle and he agreed and we went into his office. I laid hands on his ankle brace and his ankle got so hot it heated up his boot and the brace! He took off the brace and could move his ankle freely without pain and stiffness. He said, "I haven't been able to do that in over a year! I think I can ride my motorcycle now."

The next day I ran into him again at the nursing home. I inquired about his ankle, and he said he had some pain left on the sides. So we went into this office and I laid hands on it again. Again, it got very warm and he was able to lift his entire weight up with his calf muscles. With a huge grin on his face he said, "I couldn't do that before!"

Yep, Jesus heals Baptists... LOL!

19-Jun-2010 (Sat) - Jesus & the Rasnake Family Reunion

Saturday, 19-Jun-2010, my mom's side of the family had their annual family reunion at her sister (my Aunt Martha's) home. They live up on a hilltop in the southwest Virginia mountains; very beautiful. My wife (TammyM) and I and 2 of our daughters (Kayla & Karahann) and Kayla's fiancé (Cody) were able to go.

After enjoying the fantastic home-cooked food and visiting a while I was sitting with my cousin (Trevor) [see Trevor at far right in pic at left] and overheard him tell his dad (my Uncle Neil) his back hurt him. I really couldn't let that go. So I offered to pray for him. He approved. My cousin (John) was sitting near him, and I had prayed with John before and we had seen Jesus completely heal John's back [see here] , so I asked John to share that with Trevor. He did. This always changes the atmosphere to one of hopefulness & anticipation. Then I laid hands on Trevor's back and commanded it to be healed. It got very warm and Trevor said it felt "better than a heating pad." I couldn't get him to test it out, but he admitted it felt better.

I had also heard my Uncle Neil [see Uncle Neil in pic at right] say his left leg was giving him a lot of trouble particularly in the evenings after he'd been using it all day. So I asked to lay hands on him; he agreed. I commanded his lower left leg to be healed. Then there were 2 spots on his leg that got extremely warm. I showed them to him. He replied, "Well now, those are exactly the 2 spots that hurt!" After they were warm for a long time, he admitted things were different, but he'd not be able to tell unless he spent a lot of time on his feet. I encouraged him to do so.

I walked over to my Aunt Martha [in pic at left are my aunts Martha, Kay, Judy, Brenda and my mom] who was sitting near my mom, and inquired how she was doing because I had heard that she was unable to do her housework lately due to pain and was having to enlist the help of one of her sisters to get things done. She said her hip hurt and was hurting now. I had her lay her hands on her hip and I placed my hand on her hand and commanded the pain to leave and her hip to be healed. She felt heat build up in her hip joint then got out of the chair with a big smile on her face and said it wasn't all the way better but it felt great!

As I walked past Trevor [see Trevor in first pic above] again he asked, "How are you on rotator cuffs?" I laughed and said, "I can't heal a gnat, but Jesus is really good at rotator cuffs." He explained he had injured it lifting something heavy a few days ago, and it had hurt ever since. He showed me he could not lift his arm higher than his shoulder without severe pain. I put my hands on his shoulder and commanded pain to leave and his shoulder to be healed. He tried it and said it wasn't much different. So I did it again; again, not much different. I decided to try it a different way. I didn't touch him, and just said, "I command joints, bones, cartilage, ligaments, muscles, nerves, blood vessels to all come into proper alignment as Father God created them to be, in Jesus Name, right NOW!" And when I said "now" I put my hand on him for just a few seconds, and then asked him to try it again. Much to his surprise he lifted his arm all the way above his head without any pain! He was amazed, and I could see that Jesus was working on his heart, as I could tell emotion was building up in him.

My Aunt Judy [see her in pic above] then asked me to pray for her arm; it had been tingling and was going numb. She'd been to the chiropractor several times without any success. I prayed for her arm, and it immediately quit tingling! Then I noticed a spot between her shoulder blades that got extremely warm. She felt the heat. Most likely the tingling was caused by a spinal issue of sorts... Jesus knew that and though I prayed for her arm, He was fixing her spine! Awesome!

Then my Aunt Brenda [see her in pic above] asked me to pray for her. She said she believed she had a kidney stone and didn't know if she'd passed it yet or not. I prayed for her and the left side of her lower back heated up and she felt something moving around inside! I left her in tears telling her Jesus loved her.

It was past time for us to leave because we had an appointment, but my Aunt Martha asked if I would pray for her granddaughter Julie who has suffered horrible and crippling pain for years in her jaw (TMJ, I believe is what they called it). I put my hands on Julie's face and her jaw got so hot so quick that she pulled back and exclaimed, "Wow! My jaw! My jaw!" I said, "Did I hurt you?" She said that I hadn't, but that something happened. She had a dull ache before, and now she said it didn't hurt at all. Wow.

Next my Aunt Judy wanted me to pray for her daughter, Jessica [see Jessica on far right in pic at right] who also had some problems with jaw pain. I prayed for her, but she nor I felt anything at all, but she wasn't in pain at the time anyway. So I'll have to check back on her to see how she's doing.

My cousin John also wanted some prayer for a knot on the back of his leg he said that was bothering him. We prayed for that and it got a little warm, but didn't see it decrease in size. John said it felt a little different, and that he believed it would be fine afterward.

Having to leave (I should've started this earlier!), I got my older sister, TammyC, to follow-up on everybody. TammyC has great success at getting others healed too. She told me later she ended up praying for a couple more people and getting results!

Jesus loves my family and showed up at the reunion! :)

24-May-2010 (Mon) - Muscle Soreness Removed

Last night Jesus amazed me again. This one has a small but profound lesson. My youngest daughter (Kayla) [see me & Kayla pic left] spent all day Saturday (22-May-2010) learning new dance routines from a pretty famous dancer. She was incredibly tired Saturday evening, and was incredibly sore from it yesterday. But last night she asked me to lay hands on her to see if Jesus would take away the muscle soreness (which she caused). As soon as I placed my hands on her back and sides, they got very warm very quickly. I would command, "Soreness and muscle pain, out right now." As soon as I would say "now" I would place my hand on her back (or side) just for a second and then quickly remove it. Then we would wait a few seconds and I would then press my fingers into her muscles to see if the soreness was gone. We did this several times for various muscle groups that were sore. Kayla said about 99% of the soreness was removed! She said what tiny bit was left actually felt very good.

Jesus' grace totally amazes me. Think of this! Kayla caused her own soreness by over working her muscles. In other words, she caused her own pain and was suffering because of her abuse of her body... yet, Jesus didn't care at all. He removed her soreness regardless.

Jesus will heal you even if you are the cause of your own problem. Think of smoking, over-eating, under-eating, eating unhealthy foods, not exercising, etc. or any number of things we do wrong on a daily basis on purpose or by accident! Jesus still answers "Yes!" to "I wonder if He'll heal that?" It just goes to show that Jesus and Father are not actively deciding to do these things at that moment, but rather has already answered every healing question with a "Yes!" 2000 years ago:
2 Corinthians 1
20 For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.
So, I add my "Amen!"

08-May-2010 (Sat) - New Knee Mind Freak

OK, I must say, this was one of the most fun encounters with Jesus I've ever had; very powerful and personal. Recently, my youngest daughter (Kayla) got engaged to a pretty incredible young man (Cody) [see Cody & Kayla in pic right]. Cody is headed for Navy boot camp in August. But Jesus did a mind job on him this past Saturday. It started out like this:

One of my other daughters (Kimberly's) friend (Rachel) was getting married Saturday evening. So my girls and wife were all gone to the church early to help Rachel's wedding crowd get ready with hair & makeup and such. So I was home alone. I mowed my lawn and decided to wash my car and vacuum it before leaving. Cody was planning on going to the wedding too, but he was going to ride with me. So I invited him over so we could spend some time together beforehand.

When he showed up I was washing my car and we began talking. He revealed to me that he almost didn't qualify for the Navy simply because he had hurt his knee about 3 years ago. He told me his knee was very painful. He was even concerned about standing at attention in the military because in order to stand, he has to put most, if not all his weight on his good leg. This makes him slightly lean. Also, he couldn't climb stairs without pain, nor was he able to jump or kick a soccer ball. Kayla had explained some of this to me, and had requested that I pray for him, but I didn't know the half of it.

Now, Cody was present once when Kayla's knee was healed from a dancing injury (see here). I asked him about that. He said, "Yeah, that was pretty freaky to me." I said, "Are you ready to be freaked out again?" He wasn't sure what I meant. I offered to pray for his knee. He thought about it for a minute and then said, "Let's try it; what could it hurt?" I said, "Exactly. Now get ready because this is really gonna freak you out. Something is going to happen and you're gonna feel it. It's gonna be good!" He said he was ready.

I bent down and placed my hands on his knee and commanded it to be made well in Jesus' Name. Then I stood up and asked, "What's going on?" He had a very surprised look on his face, but said, "It's getting hot!" I assured him that was good. He began to freak out a little. He started walking around with his face in his hands, and then on his knee. He said, "Oh my God, it is pulling to one side." I wanted to see. He pulled his jeans tight over his kneecap and no sooner had he done that than I saw his kneecap shift 3 times to the left! Each time he let out a little, "Oh!" I've never seen anything like that before. Go Jesus!

He said it barely hurt a little... so I prayed again and rebuked pain. BAM! All pain was gone instantly he said. He said, "I can't believe this. I don't know what to say. I'm gonna cry." I told him that was alright and assured him that it was OK to cry if he needed to, but I could tell he really didn't want to cry in front of me. So I said, "Cody, it's OK, man. Jesus loves you. Tell you what, you just go out into the yard there and you and God deal with it. No worries." He said, "I'm gonna have to do that." So he walked out into the yard and dealt with it. I continued vacuuming my car.

He came back after some time and still couldn't talk about it. Just sentence fragments came out, "I can't believe... how could this happen?... what is going on?... oh man... I have no place in my mind for this...", etc. I hugged him and patted him on the back, "It's OK man. Jesus doesn't care about many things you think He cares about. He just loves you."

He had no pain at all. He told me he walked up my deck stairs without pain. He told me he jumped up and down on it in they yard... again, no pain. He said he squatted down in the yard... no pain. He told me he couldn't make it hurt no matter what he did.

Yesterday (Sun, 09-May-2010), he went with us over to my mom's for Mother's Day, and he played out in the yard with Kayla and her cousins and my sister, TammyC. After that, we all went to see Iron Man 2. Then after that he came up and said he wanted to tell me something else. He told me that I didn't really realize how dramatic this was for him. He said he had just resigned himself to this injury for the rest of his life. He figured he'd never be able to play like he did yesterday, ever again. He said, "I kicked a soccer ball over the roof of your mom's house! No pain!"

Jesus is so wonderful, I can't even describe the joy I feel right now, both for me (because doing the works of Jesus is an absolute blast) and for Cody... because Jesus surprised him with a healing he never thought he'd get! I love them both.

02-May-2010 (Sun): Crutches Not Needed

I was visiting my father-in-law (Bobby) and his sister (Susie) and her husband (Jim) had him out at the gazebo eating lunch. I noticed Jim was using crutches. I asked him what happened. He said about 2 or 3 weeks ago, while working out in his field looking for a water leak, his tractor rolled back on him and completely ran over both his lower legs. No bones were broken but he was so badly bruised and the muscles so badly smashed that he couldn't walk. His son helped him to the house. He said for the next 3 days he couldn't walk. His wife wanted to take him to the emergency room when it happened but he refused. He said he would've gone if he thought something serious had happened. After 3 days he noticed his legs were getting better and he could walk on crutches, but he's been on crutches now for 2 weeks. He told me he could put a little weight on them now, but they were still painful.

I told Jim that I hadn't been able to get much happening with Bobby for some reason, but that I believed if he'd let me put my hands on his legs and pray that Jesus would heal him right then and there. He and Susie agreed. Bobby was watching. I put my hands on his shoes (didn't want to touch his bruised legs and possibly cause him pain), and commanded his legs to be made whole and for pain to leave. Very casually (I love that!), Jim said, "They're getting warm." After a few seconds I asked him to try them out. He casually stood up without his crutches and walked over to the edge of the gazebo and spit (he had tobacco in his mouth), then calmly walked back to the seat and sat down and said, "I haven't been able to walk without my crutches for 2 weeks." So I asked if the pain was gone. He said, "Yep. Feels much better thank you."

He still had a bit of a limp, but he walked the rest of the time without his crutches. What I love most about this healing encounter was its casualness. Neither Susie nor Jim got excited but just thanked Jesus and continued with their visit.

Yes, that is how simple it should be to get others healed. It is as easy as the forgiveness of sins. You simply accept it, and move on. Thank You, Jesus, for the provision of both forgiveness of sins and the healing of our bodies in Your work of redemption!

25-Apr-2010 (Sun) - Jesus Heals in a Baptist Church

Sunday (25-Apr-2010), me and my family sang at a local Baptist church (Greenwood Baptist Church) in Johnson City, TN. It was a fun time had by all and I believe the congregation was genuinely touched by our words of encouragement and praise & worship of Jesus. After the service, a couple of young ladies (teenagers) came up and talked with my middle daughter, Karahann, about music. After they finished talking to her, I was in the foyer waiting on her, and the two young ladies came walking down the isle toward the foyer to go home. I noticed the smaller one was walking with a limp. She was only wearing one flip flop on her left foot. I spoke to them and then inquired about her foot, which was obviously causing her some pain. She said a friend of hers had dropped a 3-liter coke bottle on it and it was painful, so she couldn't put much weight on it... thus, the limp. I offered to pray for her. She agreed. I asked her name and she told me it was "Brooklyn" (very lovely name!). I stooped down and put my hand on her foot and said something along the lines like, "Father, I thank you for Brooklyn and her heart for You. I thank you Jesus that you loved her enough to bear all her pain on the cross. Now, show her how much you love her right now. Pain, I command you in Jesus' name to leave Brooklyn's foot right now." Then I looked up at her and said, "Check it out... put some weight on it and see." She slowly put some of her weight on her foot. Suddenly her mouth dropped open and her eyes widened and she looked over to her friend and said something like, "Oh my gosh! It worked! I can't believe it. It really worked. It doesn't hurt anymore... amazing!" She walked down the steps, not limping any more.

As I was walking out to the parking lot, I saw her and her friend get in a pickup truck with, I assumed, her dad. I waved and motioned questioning about her foot. She smiled really big and shook her head "yes" and gave me a thumbs up.

Jesus didn't care that it said Baptist on the front door... and neither did I. Thank You again Jesus!
