04-Dec-2010 (Sat) - Sore muscles & Injured Shoulder

On 02-Dec-2010 (Thu) I took my normal biweekly business trip to Georgia, so when I got home I was very tired. However, that week, we had had our wood floors upstairs refinished and hadn't really slept in our beds since Sunday night. We had to move all the furniture out of 2 bedrooms and cram it all into one. But by Thursday, the job was done and I really wanted to put the bedrooms back together and sleep in my bed for a change. So even though I was tired, I wanted to move the furniture and also put a new box springs and mattress on mine & my wife's (TammyM's) bed.

Fortunately, when I arrived, my wife's employer (Sherry) had helped her move all the clothes back already. [see my wife Tammy & Sherry in pic left] And Sherry's son (Chase) and his friend visiting from Florida (Kyle) also came over and moved all the big stuff for me! Very nice. [see pic of Kyle below right] While moving stuff, however, Kyle said he had injured his ribs and shoulder playing football with some younger guys. So, after he was done helping, I asked him about his pain. He said it wasn't that bad and that it would be alright. I offered to pray for him and he agreed. (Yay!)

I just took his hand and placed my other hand on his left shoulder (the injured one) and commanded it to be made whole and for all pain to leave in Jesus' Name. Immediately his shoulder got very hot and he felt it. This one was very hot, amazing! I even hollered at Sherry and asked her to come over and feel the Father's healing heat. We let it "burn" for a few minutes and then I asked him to try it out. He rolled his shoulder around without pain. Yay Jesus! Kyle is a believer but had never experienced healing in this manner, so he was pretty pumped. Chase had seen this kind of thing before (see here) and also told Kyle about a time I had laid hands on him for pain in his chest and arm, they had heated up like that and over a few days he was completely healed.

We talked about Jesus for a while afterward.

Yesterday evening, 03-Dec-2010 (Fri), my youngest daughter Kayla [see Kayla & Karahann in pic left] said her shoulder muscles were very sore from choreographing a new dance using new moves. She sat in the floor in front of me on the couch. I put my hands on her shoulders & back muscles and pushed on them and she squealed in pain. She was indeed very sore. I commanded pain to leave and placed my hands on her back for about 2 seconds and lifted them. She felt some power and then I pushed on them again as before, and the muscle pain was completely gone! Wow. Jesus is amazing. Even when we hurt ourselves, He is faithful to remove our pain.

Next, my middle daughter, Karahann, has really had a tormenting knot in her right back shoulder. We have laid hands on her before several times and she's always gotten some relief. It was bothering her a lot this evening, so she said, "Me next!" So, she sat down in the floor right where Kayla had been. I put my hands on her and was able to find a quarter-sized knot between her right shoulder blade and her spine. It was very sore and very hard.

I laid my hands on her (particularly on that knot) and commanded the knot to dissipate and for her muscles to all relax and for pain to leave. The good thing about this time of laying hands on her was, we were not in a hurry this time. Many times when you pray for people, there is a limited time because people have places they need to go. But here, at home, we were relaxed and had all evening if we wanted. I left my hands on her back for probably 20 minutes or so. The whole time her muscles got very warm and the knot, particularly, got hot.

After about 20 minutes she suddenly felt a cold wave sweep through her back. I felt it under my hand! I have never felt anything like that before. Suddenly we could not find the knot, it was completely gone! She said, "My back hasn't felt this good in months."

Thank You, Jesus.

We would sit in a doctor's office waiting on a doctor for hours, but when it comes to prayer sometimes, we give Doctor Jesus just 3 minutes to get it done. I believe if we would relax and let Jesus "leak" through us to others over a time period, we would see many more breakthroughs and less and less people would go away disappointed.

I'll not forget this lesson on persistence and patience!

12-Nov-2010 (Thu) - Low Iron

On Thursday, 11-Nov-2010, I took a regular business trip to Georgia. I go about every 2 weeks or so. It is about a 4 1/2 hour drive from my house one direction so it makes for a long day. Normally I'm by myself so I just listen to music, preaching, the Word and stuff. But this time a co-worker (Mike) went with me. It was really good to have someone to talk to for the long drive. We had a good time. While at the business in Georgia, I normally take the support technicians out for lunch and we discuss various technical issues and just generally have fun. But before we went, one of the tech operators (Betty) caught me & Mike and told us that she was having to take chlorophyll as recommended by her doctor to help her with "low iron."

Betty [see pic right] is a Catholic and I had prayed for her once before [see here] and her foot was healed instantly in her office. So, she said, "You need to put some healing hands on me!" She's such a sweetheart! So, since it was time to take the techs to lunch, I told her I wouldn't leave without do that very thing and we would just see what Jesus would do.

After lunch I talked with a lot of the techs about various issues we were seeing and finally got around to visiting Betty's office. I simply asked her about what was wrong and she filled in some details about how her condition made her very tired. I asked if I could lay hands on her and pray and, of course, she agreed. I believe it is very important to get a phrase from the person you are praying for as to what they call the malady and also get their permission. I think knowing what they call it makes a mental connection for them to the actual malady (i.e. they are thinking about it and are cooperating with you when you call it the same thing... we are in agreement). And then also getting their permission is the only requirement Jesus gave... the sick merely came to Him. They did not all have great faith... but merely mustard-seed-sized faith... which, by the way, is enough to move a mountain into the sea!

I very casually took her hands and prayed something like this, "Father, thank you for Betty and her faith in you. Thank you that Jesus said we could do His works. We know what You want for Betty because Jesus demonstrated it all the time that He wanted all the sick healed all the time. Thank You for providing healing for Betty. As a sons of God with the authority you have given us, I command low iron to depart out of Betty's body right now. Whatever is causing this low iron, I command you, in Jesus' Name to be healed, right now."

Again, please remember, the prayer itself has no special power. The words are not all that important; they are more for the person you are praying for, and for yourself to merely help focus on Jesus.

Then I merely waited for a few more seconds thanking Jesus for His faithfulness. All very quietly, all very casually. Then I looked up and I could see Betty was feeling something. So I asked, "What's going on, Betty?"

She sat up, started fanning her face, and replied, "Whew! It is hot in here!" Mike said, "It's not hot in here." I chuckled, "Betty, did you suddenly get hot all over?" She said, "Whew! Yes!" and she began to take off her jacket that she'd been wearing all day. It was very funny because she has heaters in her office too. She's normally cold. She kept fanning her smiling face. I said, "Very cool! That is a good sign the Lord has worked on you. Do you feel any different?" She said, "Yes! I'm burning up all over!" LOL!

We small-talked a bit more and she thanked me and hugged me and said, "Well, I'll let you know what the doctor says." I said, "Please do."

I think this was the first time (outside our office at home) Mike had seen this kind of thing too. He was pretty excited about it... especially after he found out Betty was Catholic. Mike jokingly said to me later, "You mean Jesus heals Catholics?!" Hahaha... I guess so! He'll even use a Protestant to do it! LOL!

Again, I love what Jesus DOESN'T care about... Praise Him!

10-Nov-2010 (Wed) - Leg Grows Out

OK, this is amazing to me. Jesus really hasn't changed at all. He is the same today as He was 2000 years ago when He was walking around in Galilee. I think if we could really get this in our heads as sons of God, we would let Him do every remarkable thing He is capable of through us. Please understand, in and of ourselves we have no power to do any miracle, but we are not by ourselves! He said He was in us. Think of that for just a second. I know it sounds all religious and churchy, but if the Creator of the Universe lives in us then His presence will do what His presence does. What can it not do? It is our minds that hold Him back and "limit the Holy One" (Psalm 78:41).

Went to my mom's for supper Monday, 08-Nov-2010, and had homemade potato soup. Wonderful! My older sister, TammyC, had mentioned some time ago that she believed her friend Billie [see pic left] had a leg shorter than the other. Since Billie came for soup too, I asked her about it. She said all her life one pant leg has always wore out and the other not. So we had her sit back in the chair, and looked at her heals, legs extended, feet together. Sure enough, it certainly appeared her right leg was about 1/4" (maybe less) shorter than her left leg. She stood up and showed us her pants legs too. Where they fell on her shoes seemed to indicate the same.

Now, I know that her legs were probably not of unequal length. Lots of things can cause this measurement. For instance, her hips could be slightly shifted in one direction, or her spine could be slightly curved one way. But something causes it. So, I simply said, "Let's just see what Jesus will do" and I casually commanded the right leg, "Right leg, I command you to come out in Jesus' name." Without any hesitation whatsoever, Billie's right leg adjusted in about 3 seconds.

We were all amazed. I asked her, "Wow, did you feel anything?" She said, "No, but I saw it!" All 3 of us saw it happen. Then we measured it every way we could and things seemed even. Something definitely happened.

Next we prayed for my mom's cataracts. [See my daughter Kimberly and my mom in pic right] She is scheduled to have eye surgery sometime next week or so. We laid hands on her eye (her right one is really bad, and left one very slight) and commanded cloudiness to leave and for the lens to clear. She opened her eyes and said there was about a 10% improvement to her estimate. We did this again. There was more. We did this about 6 times and then nothing more seemed to happen. It was time to leave by that time, so we left it at that and confessed Jesus would continue to heal. If need be I will go back and lay hands on her some more.

I also must tell this. I can't accurately give the details, but at a bowling tournament this weekend, my sister, TammyC, laid hands on 3 ladies for various issues. Two of them were completely taken out of back pain, and the 3rd one felt heat in her spine, but not much else. I thank God someone else is jumping on the bandwagon with me and believing what Jesus has so plainly told us: ANYONE who believes can do His works... anyone. That means you. There is no special "anointing" or "gift" or anything like that. It is NOT about you. Jesus didn't appear to me nor my sister and tell us we were supposed to be doing this stuff, and Jesus doesn't tell us when we are supposed to pray or not. He said to "heal the sick." Which sick are we supposed to heal? "The." That's right, if they are sick, they need healing. There is no feeling accompanying these things, nor do you have to "set the atmosphere" by praise and worship or "getting serious." Nope. Jesus heals in all atmospheres and with all attitudes. ONLY BELIEVE! That is the only requirement.

Won't you believe and do His works today?

02-Nov-2010 (Tue) - High Blood Pressure Symptoms

My cousin (John) has had a run of very severe headaches that stem from high blood pressure. He contacted me on Facebook chat the other day and told me about it. He said he had had a bad headache now for 3 days and felt terrible. He asked for prayer. I know this sounds crazy, but we've actually done this before with other things. To chat a prayer seems really odd, but apparently Jesus does not care the medium through which we give His Word. So, together, John and I agreed his symptoms would disappear after a good night's rest. We prayed and I merely chatted a "prayer" thanking Father for His work in Jesus Christ for John's healing. Then as sons of God we rebuked John's symptoms and commanded his blood pressure to regulate properly in Jesus' Name.

The next day he contacted me and said he awoke with a diminished headache and felt pretty good. Then as the day went on he said he felt better and better until finally all symptoms were gone and he felt great.

Praise Jesus! He is so amazing. Even though I totally expect something to happen each time, it still amazes me at what He does. I am so thankful for His deliverance from all manner of things. I think the "problem" with the good news about Jesus is that it is "too good to be true." In other words, He is so good that our finite minds have trouble wrapping themselves around it. But, He really is! He is the ultimate of goodness. The best way for your mind to begin to grasp this is to quit imagining Him as something other than what Jesus presents Him to be. Then listen to Jesus' direct and divinely inspired instruction:
Matthew 7
9 “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead?
10 Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not!
11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.
Can we really directly compare our love for our children to Father God's love for us? Yes we can! Jesus said we could! Do you see what this means? Think of it! If you can not imagine giving your child cancer or any kind of sickness for ANY REASON, guess what?! Neither can God. That's right. Would you give your child cancer to teach him patience? No! Neither would God. Would you make your child wait for "your timing" for a cure of what they were suffering? No! Neither would God. Would you punish your child by giving him a disease? No! That's child abuse! Neither would God. Would you wait until your child obeyed you perfectly before you took him to the doctor for medicine? No! Neither would God.

Remember, it is God's idea for you to call Him "Father," not yours. Would any father treat their children the way you are told in "sermons" that God treats His children? The way the Father treats His children, according to most sermons you hear, would be considered child abuse. Father does not abuse His children.

Look at Jesus, the Jesus of the Bible, not the one you may have heard preached on Sunday. Does He abuse people? Did He ever refuse to heal the sick? No. Neither does Father, because to look at Jesus is to look at Father.

Amen!

14-Oct-2010 (Thu) - Diabetes healed!

Jesus is always amazing. I mean, you lay hands on the sick and you absolutely expect healing to happen every time, but wow, when He does sometimes, you are still amazed!

A friend of mine (Mike) called me last week and said that for the last several days he had felt absolutely terrible. He said he couldn't sleep and would wake up completely dehydrated and very thirsty and that he was spending a whole lot of time going to the restroom. He said he drank a sweet tea and thought immediately afterward that he was going to die. He told his symptoms to some people and they told him that it sounded like the classic symptoms of diabetes. So he did some research on the Internet and sure enough his symptoms were at the top of the list. He told me he wasn't really all that scared because he knew Jesus heals everything. Amen!
Matthew 4 (NLT)
23 Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness.
24 News about him spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon possessed or epileptic or paralyzed—he healed them all.
And Jesus is exactly the same now as He was then, and He hates sickness just as much.

So, Mike called me on the phone while he was driving down the road. I've learned that the "prayer" is never asking God to do anything at all. Jesus never asked Father to heal anyone. Instead, He just did it. Now understand, the power is not from us, it is not our power. It is analogous to the power company and your house. You don't have the power to turn on the light in the room, but you do flip the switch. You don't call the power company and ask them to turn the light on in the room, you just flip the switch yourself. Think about it; if you did call the power company and say, "Hey, I need you to provide the power to light up this room," they would think you were crazy. It is the same with Father God and the power to heal. He has already provided the power; it is there whether you feel it or not; and it is always faithful to "turn the light on" and heal the sick every time. He is more faithful than gravity. And just as you would be completely surprised if you flipped the switch on and nothing happened, so should you be likewise surprised if you lay hands on the sick and nothing happens. Father is completely faithful!

So, my "prayer" was something like this, "Father, I thank you that you have provided healing for us. I thank You, Jesus, that you said that as believers in You, that we can do Your very works in healing the sick. I thank You, Jesus that you healed every kind of sickness and every kind of disease, and that would include diabetes. I thank You Jesus, that as the Father sent You into the world to destroy the works of the devil, so You sent us into the world to destroy the works of the devil. So, as a son of God with Your authority, I speak to this diabetes in Mike's body and I command you to get out, right now, in Jesus' Name. I command sugar levels in Mike's body to be regulated. I command Mike's pancreas to work properly now, in Jesus' Name."

Please understand the "prayer" is nothing special. It is really for me to focus on Jesus, and for Mike to focus on Jesus, Who is the Healer. We do not have the power to heal, but we do flip the switch by focusing on Jesus. It is all about Him and His love for us, not our love for Him. Anybody can flip the switch. The power is indiscriminate and freely provided to all. God does not honor one believer over another... absolutely ANYBODY can flip a switch and turn a light on in the room. So it is with God. You can never be good enough to make healing work, and you can never be bad enough for it not to. Sin is not the issue. The bills have all been paid, and the power is available... so FLIP THE SWITCH!

I have found the biggest hindrance to healing is believing there are hindrances to healing.

After a few minutes of quietness, I asked Mike if he felt anything. He said he immediately got hot all over his body while he's driving down the road! Yes! A manifestation is usually proof that you are plugged in to Father's power. We thanked Father for the manifestation, and proclaimed Jesus' continued work in him for complete recovery.

I spoke to Mike last night and he said that after 2 days all the symptoms completely disappeared! Praise You Jesus! He said he had just eaten some ice cream (which last week would've made him feel terrible) and that he felt great. He said he was no longer waking up at night dehydrated and thirsty, nor was he thirsty throughout the day. He was also back to regular restroom visits.

Father, I love You so much, and I so love it when You work Your wonders for us!

07-Sep-2010 (Tue): Back Pain Gone In a Moment!

Yesterday (Mon, 06-Sep-2010), my wife & I were visiting my father-in-law in the nursing home, and the preacher there was about to hold a singing service. He had his piano player with him. They gathered the residents together in a room. He told me & my wife we were going to help him sing... so we did. Of course, we were not prepared, but, hey, he asked. We sang many traditional songs, some of which I despise because they really are nothing but unbelief put to music... arrrrrrgggggghhhhh!!! However, I had noticed the piano player (an older lady) had a back brace on. Uh oh... So, afterward, I asked if I could pray for her. Like most people around here, she immediately accepted the offer and put out her hands. I grabbed them and prayed a prayer mostly for her, preaching the gospel of healing in my words, then I commanded her back to be healed and pain to leave. She immediately started crying. "Do you feel that?" I asked. She said, "My back is getting hot!" Praise Jesus! I told her it was God's power; that we were connected to Him and He was healing her. She cried harder and lifted her hands and praised Him. She then said to me, "You have a special connection with Him, don't you?" I said, "Yes! But so do you! What He does for one, He'll do for any."

This is always so hard to convince believers around here of that. They think if they feel the power of God, that it is a special (and very unusual) gift He has given the person doing the praying. And I have found that hardly no amount of arguing will convince them otherwise. Arrrrggghhhh again! I hate that! But, I told her this was not a special gift I possessed, but that healing was something for all God's children.

I'm sure I'll see her again, as her and the preacher are there quite often.

Nevertheless, she did give all the glory to Jesus for touching her. She was afraid to take the brace off, but all the pain was gone! Yay Jesus! She just couldn't find the pain any more at all. It was awesome.

27-Aug-2010 (Fri): Seeing Jesus Carry Pains

Well, quite a bit has happened since my last post. I'll try to make a list:
  • Me & the family sang at an old country church my Aunt Sheila goes to. Afterward there was "dinner on the grounds" if you know what I mean. While there I laid hands on 3 people for their healing. My Aunt Sheila felt most of the pain leave her arthritic ankles. My Uncle Harry felt pain relief in his leg and another elderly lady, who was going to go to the doctor for a cancerous growth on her neck, felt the heat of God burn in that growth. Can't wait to hear the results of that one!
  • Me & the family sang at a Baptist church in Johnson City, TN, where the pastor is the chaplain at the nursing home where my father-in-law is staying. After the service, he wanted me to pray for the sick. About 6 people came up. I saw an elderly lady whose legs were bound up and in pain, feel the tingling of God in her legs and felt strength return to them. She was in tears. Prayed for a deaf lady, but nothing happened that I could tell. Saw a young woman who had a migraine headache get totally set free from pain. Her jaw unlocked right before our eyes! She also had a sick member of her family she wanted prayer for. I had her hold her hands out and I asked Jesus to let her feel His power in her hands. She did! She said they got hot; she was in tears. I told her to take those hands and lay them on the sick person and not to ask God to heal, but command that sickness to leave! She said she would. We also brought my father-in-law up front and prayed for him... nothing happened that I could tell with him. Also, prayed for a woman suffering from pain in her abdomen... no pain afterward! And one more lady that was heartbroken; she felt the strong presence of God all over her.
  • Prayed for a young man who was heart-broken after a breakup with his girlfriend. He nearly fell from the strong presence of God that flowed into him from my hands and touched and healed his broken heart. He wrote me afterward that he'd never felt anything like that his whole life!
  • Laid hands on several people at the nursing home: A woman with jaw pain was totally set free. A woman with pain in her hip, totally set free from pain and felt the tingling of God in her bones. A woman with UTI felt the heat of God flow into her. My father-in-law's "bad" leg was hurting and he was begging for pain medicine... laid hands on him and commanded pain to leave... gone, in about 10 seconds! He said, "I don't need the medicine now." A lady with tooth pain, set free from pain instantly. Laid hands on a woman that can't talk due to a stroke, nothing immediate, but I keep checking on her and praying for her when I see her. Didn't even have to pray for the chaplain's pain in his ankle this time... just touched him and pain and stiffness left immediately! Praise God!
  • Keep commanding pain to leave my wife's back and daughter's back. Have success every single time, but the pain comes back after some time, however, not as bad. So we are slowly making progress.
Now, a personal testimony. I have had a very small pain in my lower abdomen ever since I fell against a bumper of a car when I was about 9 or 10 years old. It was nothing extreme, but nevertheless a pain that I lived with for 40 years. About 2 weeks ago, I had just prayed for someone and saw them get out of pain in a matter of seconds. They were amazed! I was so happy for them and me! It is so good to see these things and to know the invisible God is working through you... what fun! Anyways, after that I felt that familiar pain, but this time I thought... "I'm gonna do the 'wave-thing' that I learned from Curry Blake." So I simply held up my hand praised Jesus and then commanded this 40-year old pain to leave my body right NOW! Then I put my hand on my abdomen for about 2 seconds and removed it.

I know we're supposed to be "faith men"... but I gotta tell you all... I was SHOCKED that the pain left immediately and I haven't felt it since! LOL! A mere mustard-seed size faith (mixed with some of my own doubt) still got the job done. Jesus is awesome! What a boost!

So, I also laid hands on about 3 other people with minor pains (fever blister, sunburn, rash) and saw all 3 instantly pain free. Wow.

Then, the next day or so, I was sitting in a meeting and felt a pain I had forgotten I was experiencing, minor joint pain in my right wrist. I smiled and thought about that 40-year pain that left, and under my breath I commanded the wrist pain to leave, put my hand on my wrist for about 2 seconds, and then immediately flexed it... GONE! Again... WOW.
Isaiah 53 (YLT)
4 Surely our sicknesses he hath borne, and our pains—he hath carried them, and we—we have esteemed him plagued, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 And he is pierced for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace is on him, and by his bruise there is healing to us.
Amen, Jesus bore ALL OUR PAINS no matter how minor they are. He's a Big God.

29-Jul-2010 (Thu): Praying for the Sick and Injured

Nearly 3 weeks ago, a young man (Jason, 19yrs old) that was in my youngest daughter's (Kayla) wedding, and who is a step brother to Kayla's husband (Cody) suddenly had a stroke. Doctors said it was a AVM (arteriovenous malformation). An AVM is an abnormal connection between the arteries and veins in the brain that usually forms before birth. You can go your whole life and never know you have one, or, under high-blood pressure, these can rupture and bleed on your brain. This is what happened to Jason. He just got through working out with his dad (Alan) when his right side began to get weak and his speech slurred. He was rushed to the hospital. There the doctors performed emergency surgery on him and put him in a chemically induced coma. You can read his story and updates here: CaringBridge\JasonHearl.

Much prayer has been made for Jason by his family and others. I personally have laid hands on him about 3 times with no visible results as of yet. Recently, as you can read in the Journal at the website named above, the family received bad news that the doctors don't have much hope for him; that they've done all they can do. I will have longer faith, and never give up, and if you are reading this, do the same. I hope to see him more times and lay hands on him again and again until something happens. Amen!

Right beside of Jason in ICU was a friend of my family (Anna) who had a terrible car accident in which she was thrown from the vehicle. The first night I visited her she was unconscious. She has a broken hip, broken femur, broken humerus, broken eye orbits, and much bruising and cutting. Last time I saw her was this week and she was awake and whispering. I spoke to her and asked if I could pray for her. She agreed and when I laid my hands on her she said she felt God's power. Praise Him! Waiting on more reports.

Also, today, a friend of mine (John) came down from his office and asked for prayer for his back. Before I even touched him, his back got hot! Very localized in 2 places. I commanded healing to his neck, back, and no more migraines. He returned to his office telling me he felt much better. Yes! Jesus is awesome. He chatted me later and told me his back felt much better and that it is a shame that this kind of power is available to us all the time and yet we don't use it. So true, John! I'll never forget my favorite pastor (Barry) saying people will do everything they can to help a situation and when after all their efforts nothing is working say something like, "Well, looks like we're gonna have to pray," to which Pastor Barry would reply, "Oh my! Has it come to that?!" LOL! Yep, it has come to that, I'm afraid. Sheesh! Seeking God should be the first thing on the list every morning. Amen! If we could only realize just how much He truly loves us.

25-Jul-2010 (Sun): Healing Presbyterians

This morning, my middle daughter (Karahann) was asked to play a couple of songs at Highpoint Presbyterian Church in Bristol, VA, for their homecoming service with "dinner on the grounds" afterward. The message was given by a friend of ours (Matt) and it was on forgiveness... very timely and good message. Matt quoted his favorite writer who said, "Harboring unforgiveness is like eating rat poison and expecting the rat to die." Great quote! He also recommended that when we apologize, that we do not do like one of his little sons does; a "drive-by apology." Great message, Matt.

Karahann sang Feed My Lambs (one of her originals), and a Nickel Creek song called, The Hand Song. She also wanted me, my wife (TammyM) and her younger sister, Kayla, to sing a Dolly Pardon song with her called, I Am Ready.

During the service, there were some prayer requests from the congregation, and I overheard one lady say she was having a biopsy done on a lump in her throat. I looked back and made note of her.

After the service we went outside and ate. The food was delicious! While eating, my Aunt Sheila brought the very lady that was having the biopsy done, over for prayer. I laid my hands on her and commanded the lump to dry up and get out of her body. She immediately felt the lump get hot. That's a sign the power of God has touched it and started the healing. I told her it would probably disappear in a very short time.

I also laid hands on my Uncle Harry's leg, which sometimes goes numb on him. No way to test this.

Next, my Aunt Sheila wanted prayer for her thumbs and ankles which she thinks has arthritis. Immediately there was no pain in her ankles or thumbs as she tested them!

Yep, Jesus heals Presbyterians!

21-Jul-2010 (Wed): Pinched Nerve Relief

Today, my sister (TammyC) and I agreed to meet at one of her employee's (Steve's) [see pic right] office this morning early to pray for him. Steve is scheduled to go on a mission trip to eastern Europe and teach the kids there English, baseball & Bible. Many years ago he had a wakeboard accident and he had to have a disc in his lower neck replaced by one from a cadaver. This worked for him pretty good. But a few months ago, he fell while exercising and hurt his neck. When he went to the doctor they told him that his spinal cord was very thin in places and that the holes for it in the vertebrates were too small and the injury he had just basically set it off. So, after that he's been on pain medication and his right arm tingles especially when he positions his head to the right or up too far.

I shared some things about Jesus' healing ministry with him, and he let us lay hands on him. Immediately his spine and shoulder got hot spots. After about 1 hour of laying hands, talking, commanding healing and thanking Father, getting progress the whole time (in baby steps), Steve had gained much of the motion he had lost in his neck and had to turn his head much farther to reach a point where it tingled down his arm. Before prayer, he could hardly move his neck at all.

So, Steve is not 100% yet, but in much better shape for his mission trip. I told him that I'd come back and check on him some more when he returned from Europe and if need be, we'd pray until he gets 100%.

Thank You Jesus!

18-Jul-2010 (Sun) - No More Pain

Today while visiting the nursing home to see my father-in-law (Bobby), me and my wife (TammyM) and my middle daughter (Karahann) were wheeling Bobby down the hall to go outside, and one of the CNAs (Gina) grabbed me and said, "I have a friend here that really needs your prayers. She is in great pain today. Would you come and pray for her?" Gina is the one whose knee I prayed for got healed (see here).

Gina walked me down the hall to the lady's room (Marvina). I asked her to go in first and make sure it was OK if a stranger came in to pray for her. I didn't want to scare her. Gina went in and then in a few seconds motioned me to come on.

I went in and Marvina was laying on her bed. You could tell by her face she was in a lot of pain. She reached out her hand and shook mine as Gina introduced us. I asked her if it was OK for me to pray and lay hands on her and she said it was and that she believed in the laying on of hands. Wonderful! I told her that Jesus healed Gina's knee and that's why Gina came and got me. I told Marvina that I was going to pray, but it may not be like any prayer she's ever heard. She said, "I doubt it." I asked, "Really? Why?" She said, "I'm pentecostal-holiness. I believe in speaking in tongues and the laying on of hands. I've even spoken in tongues once." Nice! I said, "OK, I stand corrected! Then I will pray like you've probably heard many times before." I asked her where her pain was from 1-10 and she said it was an 8. Gina and I put our hands on her and I commanded pain to leave. I then asked if anything changed and she said "No." So I said, "All right, hang on, you're gonna feel it this time." Then I relaxed remembering it was not me that is doing the healing or bearing the pain... it is Jesus. Then I rebuked pain and touched her abdomen only briefly. "How about now?" Big ole tears welled up in her eyes and she lifted her hands and began to praise Jesus. She finally said, the pain dropped suddenly to about 2, mild discomfort, her words. I commanded pain to leave 100%! She said it totally eased off!

Thank You Jesus for bearing our pains!

I told Marvina I would come back and check on her often because I came to visit my father-in-law about 5-7 times a week. She said that would be fine, and continued to weep and praise Jesus. Gina was moved to tears too, and hugged my neck and thanked me for praying for her.

Gina's faith and Marvina's faith drew the great power of God to themselves. My faith was hardly involved.

14-Jul-2010 (Wed) - Broken/Stubbed Toe Healed

My gorgeous and sweet wife (TammyM) [see pic left] stubbed her toe and thought she'd broken it. It swelled up and turned red and was very painful for her to walk on. She told me about it while I was at work, and I told we'd just have to doctor that when I got home. When I got home, she had to leave immediately. I stopped her at the top of the stairs. I said, "Hang on a second. Let me see your toe." She said, "Well, I don't have time; I have to go." I asked, "You don't have time for a healing?" She smiled and got my smart alek remark the way it was intended. "OK, go ahead." I put my hand on her toe and commanded pain to leave and bones to mend and for it to be healed. I said, "Check it." She wiggled it a little, "Nope, it still hurts." Then she started to leave again. "Hang on a sec, I'm not done." I then commanded pain to leave again and bones to mend and instead of leaving my hand on there, I just touched it for about 2 seconds after saying what I did, and immediately said, "Check it." She moved it a lot! She said, "That's much better!" Amen! Today we were talking on the phone and she told me, "Oh, by the way, my toe is all better!" Very cool.

Jesus heals all the time; even when we think we don't have time for it. I think this is because, like I used to think, we have to do something to get God to move, and we think in our minds that this may take some time to muster up. Or we think we may have to spend some time in praise, or make a long prayer, or whatever. But Jesus doesn't work that way. He loves unconditionally no matter what we feel like or what is going on in our lives. His healing works at all times and in every situation.

He so loves us!

08-Jul-2010 (Thu) - No More Knee Brace

On a regular basis I still go see my father-in-law (Bobby) at the nursing home and either sit with him a while, or sit with him and pray for his healing for a while. Of late, his mind seems to be changing for the better. We've all noticed a better attitude that just has not been there since his massive stroke on 13-Dec-2009. He seems more like his old self. Thank You, Father, for what we've been able to receive of what You've provided for us in Jesus already!

A few days ago, I walked into the nursing home and one of the young women (Gina) who has worked with Bobby so well, and has even taken special interest in him, was sweeping the floor of the dining room. I noticed she had a knee brace on. So I asked her about her knee. She said she'd been going to the doctor and was scared she would have to have surgery. The doctor told her that there was an abnormal bone growth on her knee and that the pain was caused by that and that he'd probably have to do surgery and remove it. So, I asked if I could pray for her knee. She said I could.

I had her sit down in a chair and asked, "Is it OK if I put my hands on your knee?" (I didn't want to embarrass her. She said it was OK. I told her, "When I pray for you, you'll probably feel something happening. Usually tingling or heat or movement, so don't be scared. Are you ready?" She said she was. I laid hands on her knee and commanded the bone growth to be removed and for her knee to be totally restored. She immediately started squirming in her chair a little. "What's going on?", I asked. "I feel heat and tingling. And stuff is moving around in there!" I asked her if it hurt her anymore. She moved it some, and then said it hurt just a little, but not like it did. So I laid hands on it again and commanded pain to leave, then immediately asked her to see if it hurt now. She moved her knee, then got up and walked around and started shaking her head. "What?", I asked. She just smiled and said, "It really doesn't hurt anymore." I hugged her neck and thanked her for all that she has done for my father-in-law.

The next day I saw her from a distance and noticed she didn't have her brace on! Then, a couple days after that, she saw me and walked up and said, "Look! I don't have to use my brace!" She then held her leg up and demonstrated free movement and then stood on it and bounced. I could see tears welling up, and she hugged me and simply said, "Thank you so much for praying for me."

I love Jesus!

25-Jun-2010 (Fri) - Healing at Stateline

This Friday (25-Jun-2010), my middle daughter (Karahann) played music at Stateline Bar & Grill in Bristol, TN [see Karahann at Stateline in pic at left]. My older sister (TammyC) backed her up. It was a great show and the food was really good too. Lot's of friends and family came in support.

After it was all over a friend (Charles) [see pic at right] I hadn't seen in years approached me. He had a cast on his forearm encasing even his elbow. He had fallen on a hike and thought he sprained it, but x-rays showed it was fractured in 2 places. He actually wanted to ask about getting some people in his family healed; he planned on praying and laying hands on them himself. After we discussed some things, we walked out of the bar and I asked to pray for his wrist. He said I could, so we stopped on the sidewalk and I laid hands on his cast and commanded his wrist bones to mend. Charles suddenly felt tingling and heat at his wrist. His cast even heated up. Then after some time, he told me it was getting really cold. Afterward, he could move his wrist and fingers without pain. Jesus is awesome! He's excited about his up-and-coming x-ray; so am I!

Turns out, I accidentally left my cell phone in the bar and drove all the way home thinking my wife (TammyM) had it. She didn't, so she called the bar and they said they found it. I immediately drove back. By then it was about 11pm at night and the bar now had a cover charge at the door, and plenty of people were going in and out. I had to wait for the waiter who had my phone to get free... this took about 45 minutes. In the meantime, I saw my sister (TammyC) and her friend (Billie) sitting with a friend outside on the sidewalk having a beer. When I walked up they were talking about Jesus and my sister was telling her friend (Cindy) [see pic at left] about how my daughter (Kimberly) had been healed when she was an infant (see here). After the conversation, I asked Cindy if she had anything wrong with her. She said "No." But TammyC said, "Aw, c'mon, everybody our age has something! Anything at all?" Cindy then admitted she was supposed to have physical therapy on her neck this week. She couldn't lift her shoulders without pain, and her arms were tingling all the time. She also demonstrated she couldn't look back to her left without pain. I laid my hands on her neck, and it immediately got hot! She was in tears. Turns out she's a believer, but didn't fully understand Jesus moved in this way. After a few minutes, she could move her shoulders up and down, and could look back to the left all with no pain! And the tingling in her arms disappeared!

I'll say it again, Jesus is so awesome!

22-Jun-2010 (Tue) - Baptist Preacher Healed

I visited my father-in-law (Bobby) at the nursing home on a regular basis. There is a Baptist preacher that has an office there; he regularly loves on the inhabitants and does Bible Studies with them. He is a sweet man (Harold) and pastors a local Baptist church. In fact we sang there (see here for testimony).

I was outside of Bobby's room, when Harold saw me in the hall and came up and we started talking. In the conversation, he mentioned he was seeing a doctor about his foot and ankle. He was wearing a doctor-prescribed ankle brace. I asked him if I could pray for his ankle and he agreed and we went into his office. I laid hands on his ankle brace and his ankle got so hot it heated up his boot and the brace! He took off the brace and could move his ankle freely without pain and stiffness. He said, "I haven't been able to do that in over a year! I think I can ride my motorcycle now."

The next day I ran into him again at the nursing home. I inquired about his ankle, and he said he had some pain left on the sides. So we went into this office and I laid hands on it again. Again, it got very warm and he was able to lift his entire weight up with his calf muscles. With a huge grin on his face he said, "I couldn't do that before!"

Yep, Jesus heals Baptists... LOL!

19-Jun-2010 (Sat) - Jesus & the Rasnake Family Reunion

Saturday, 19-Jun-2010, my mom's side of the family had their annual family reunion at her sister (my Aunt Martha's) home. They live up on a hilltop in the southwest Virginia mountains; very beautiful. My wife (TammyM) and I and 2 of our daughters (Kayla & Karahann) and Kayla's fiancé (Cody) were able to go.

After enjoying the fantastic home-cooked food and visiting a while I was sitting with my cousin (Trevor) [see Trevor at far right in pic at left] and overheard him tell his dad (my Uncle Neil) his back hurt him. I really couldn't let that go. So I offered to pray for him. He approved. My cousin (John) was sitting near him, and I had prayed with John before and we had seen Jesus completely heal John's back [see here] , so I asked John to share that with Trevor. He did. This always changes the atmosphere to one of hopefulness & anticipation. Then I laid hands on Trevor's back and commanded it to be healed. It got very warm and Trevor said it felt "better than a heating pad." I couldn't get him to test it out, but he admitted it felt better.

I had also heard my Uncle Neil [see Uncle Neil in pic at right] say his left leg was giving him a lot of trouble particularly in the evenings after he'd been using it all day. So I asked to lay hands on him; he agreed. I commanded his lower left leg to be healed. Then there were 2 spots on his leg that got extremely warm. I showed them to him. He replied, "Well now, those are exactly the 2 spots that hurt!" After they were warm for a long time, he admitted things were different, but he'd not be able to tell unless he spent a lot of time on his feet. I encouraged him to do so.

I walked over to my Aunt Martha [in pic at left are my aunts Martha, Kay, Judy, Brenda and my mom] who was sitting near my mom, and inquired how she was doing because I had heard that she was unable to do her housework lately due to pain and was having to enlist the help of one of her sisters to get things done. She said her hip hurt and was hurting now. I had her lay her hands on her hip and I placed my hand on her hand and commanded the pain to leave and her hip to be healed. She felt heat build up in her hip joint then got out of the chair with a big smile on her face and said it wasn't all the way better but it felt great!

As I walked past Trevor [see Trevor in first pic above] again he asked, "How are you on rotator cuffs?" I laughed and said, "I can't heal a gnat, but Jesus is really good at rotator cuffs." He explained he had injured it lifting something heavy a few days ago, and it had hurt ever since. He showed me he could not lift his arm higher than his shoulder without severe pain. I put my hands on his shoulder and commanded pain to leave and his shoulder to be healed. He tried it and said it wasn't much different. So I did it again; again, not much different. I decided to try it a different way. I didn't touch him, and just said, "I command joints, bones, cartilage, ligaments, muscles, nerves, blood vessels to all come into proper alignment as Father God created them to be, in Jesus Name, right NOW!" And when I said "now" I put my hand on him for just a few seconds, and then asked him to try it again. Much to his surprise he lifted his arm all the way above his head without any pain! He was amazed, and I could see that Jesus was working on his heart, as I could tell emotion was building up in him.

My Aunt Judy [see her in pic above] then asked me to pray for her arm; it had been tingling and was going numb. She'd been to the chiropractor several times without any success. I prayed for her arm, and it immediately quit tingling! Then I noticed a spot between her shoulder blades that got extremely warm. She felt the heat. Most likely the tingling was caused by a spinal issue of sorts... Jesus knew that and though I prayed for her arm, He was fixing her spine! Awesome!

Then my Aunt Brenda [see her in pic above] asked me to pray for her. She said she believed she had a kidney stone and didn't know if she'd passed it yet or not. I prayed for her and the left side of her lower back heated up and she felt something moving around inside! I left her in tears telling her Jesus loved her.

It was past time for us to leave because we had an appointment, but my Aunt Martha asked if I would pray for her granddaughter Julie who has suffered horrible and crippling pain for years in her jaw (TMJ, I believe is what they called it). I put my hands on Julie's face and her jaw got so hot so quick that she pulled back and exclaimed, "Wow! My jaw! My jaw!" I said, "Did I hurt you?" She said that I hadn't, but that something happened. She had a dull ache before, and now she said it didn't hurt at all. Wow.

Next my Aunt Judy wanted me to pray for her daughter, Jessica [see Jessica on far right in pic at right] who also had some problems with jaw pain. I prayed for her, but she nor I felt anything at all, but she wasn't in pain at the time anyway. So I'll have to check back on her to see how she's doing.

My cousin John also wanted some prayer for a knot on the back of his leg he said that was bothering him. We prayed for that and it got a little warm, but didn't see it decrease in size. John said it felt a little different, and that he believed it would be fine afterward.

Having to leave (I should've started this earlier!), I got my older sister, TammyC, to follow-up on everybody. TammyC has great success at getting others healed too. She told me later she ended up praying for a couple more people and getting results!

Jesus loves my family and showed up at the reunion! :)

24-May-2010 (Mon) - Muscle Soreness Removed

Last night Jesus amazed me again. This one has a small but profound lesson. My youngest daughter (Kayla) [see me & Kayla pic left] spent all day Saturday (22-May-2010) learning new dance routines from a pretty famous dancer. She was incredibly tired Saturday evening, and was incredibly sore from it yesterday. But last night she asked me to lay hands on her to see if Jesus would take away the muscle soreness (which she caused). As soon as I placed my hands on her back and sides, they got very warm very quickly. I would command, "Soreness and muscle pain, out right now." As soon as I would say "now" I would place my hand on her back (or side) just for a second and then quickly remove it. Then we would wait a few seconds and I would then press my fingers into her muscles to see if the soreness was gone. We did this several times for various muscle groups that were sore. Kayla said about 99% of the soreness was removed! She said what tiny bit was left actually felt very good.

Jesus' grace totally amazes me. Think of this! Kayla caused her own soreness by over working her muscles. In other words, she caused her own pain and was suffering because of her abuse of her body... yet, Jesus didn't care at all. He removed her soreness regardless.

Jesus will heal you even if you are the cause of your own problem. Think of smoking, over-eating, under-eating, eating unhealthy foods, not exercising, etc. or any number of things we do wrong on a daily basis on purpose or by accident! Jesus still answers "Yes!" to "I wonder if He'll heal that?" It just goes to show that Jesus and Father are not actively deciding to do these things at that moment, but rather has already answered every healing question with a "Yes!" 2000 years ago:
2 Corinthians 1
20 For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.
So, I add my "Amen!"

08-May-2010 (Sat) - New Knee Mind Freak

OK, I must say, this was one of the most fun encounters with Jesus I've ever had; very powerful and personal. Recently, my youngest daughter (Kayla) got engaged to a pretty incredible young man (Cody) [see Cody & Kayla in pic right]. Cody is headed for Navy boot camp in August. But Jesus did a mind job on him this past Saturday. It started out like this:

One of my other daughters (Kimberly's) friend (Rachel) was getting married Saturday evening. So my girls and wife were all gone to the church early to help Rachel's wedding crowd get ready with hair & makeup and such. So I was home alone. I mowed my lawn and decided to wash my car and vacuum it before leaving. Cody was planning on going to the wedding too, but he was going to ride with me. So I invited him over so we could spend some time together beforehand.

When he showed up I was washing my car and we began talking. He revealed to me that he almost didn't qualify for the Navy simply because he had hurt his knee about 3 years ago. He told me his knee was very painful. He was even concerned about standing at attention in the military because in order to stand, he has to put most, if not all his weight on his good leg. This makes him slightly lean. Also, he couldn't climb stairs without pain, nor was he able to jump or kick a soccer ball. Kayla had explained some of this to me, and had requested that I pray for him, but I didn't know the half of it.

Now, Cody was present once when Kayla's knee was healed from a dancing injury (see here). I asked him about that. He said, "Yeah, that was pretty freaky to me." I said, "Are you ready to be freaked out again?" He wasn't sure what I meant. I offered to pray for his knee. He thought about it for a minute and then said, "Let's try it; what could it hurt?" I said, "Exactly. Now get ready because this is really gonna freak you out. Something is going to happen and you're gonna feel it. It's gonna be good!" He said he was ready.

I bent down and placed my hands on his knee and commanded it to be made well in Jesus' Name. Then I stood up and asked, "What's going on?" He had a very surprised look on his face, but said, "It's getting hot!" I assured him that was good. He began to freak out a little. He started walking around with his face in his hands, and then on his knee. He said, "Oh my God, it is pulling to one side." I wanted to see. He pulled his jeans tight over his kneecap and no sooner had he done that than I saw his kneecap shift 3 times to the left! Each time he let out a little, "Oh!" I've never seen anything like that before. Go Jesus!

He said it barely hurt a little... so I prayed again and rebuked pain. BAM! All pain was gone instantly he said. He said, "I can't believe this. I don't know what to say. I'm gonna cry." I told him that was alright and assured him that it was OK to cry if he needed to, but I could tell he really didn't want to cry in front of me. So I said, "Cody, it's OK, man. Jesus loves you. Tell you what, you just go out into the yard there and you and God deal with it. No worries." He said, "I'm gonna have to do that." So he walked out into the yard and dealt with it. I continued vacuuming my car.

He came back after some time and still couldn't talk about it. Just sentence fragments came out, "I can't believe... how could this happen?... what is going on?... oh man... I have no place in my mind for this...", etc. I hugged him and patted him on the back, "It's OK man. Jesus doesn't care about many things you think He cares about. He just loves you."

He had no pain at all. He told me he walked up my deck stairs without pain. He told me he jumped up and down on it in they yard... again, no pain. He said he squatted down in the yard... no pain. He told me he couldn't make it hurt no matter what he did.

Yesterday (Sun, 09-May-2010), he went with us over to my mom's for Mother's Day, and he played out in the yard with Kayla and her cousins and my sister, TammyC. After that, we all went to see Iron Man 2. Then after that he came up and said he wanted to tell me something else. He told me that I didn't really realize how dramatic this was for him. He said he had just resigned himself to this injury for the rest of his life. He figured he'd never be able to play like he did yesterday, ever again. He said, "I kicked a soccer ball over the roof of your mom's house! No pain!"

Jesus is so wonderful, I can't even describe the joy I feel right now, both for me (because doing the works of Jesus is an absolute blast) and for Cody... because Jesus surprised him with a healing he never thought he'd get! I love them both.

02-May-2010 (Sun): Crutches Not Needed

I was visiting my father-in-law (Bobby) and his sister (Susie) and her husband (Jim) had him out at the gazebo eating lunch. I noticed Jim was using crutches. I asked him what happened. He said about 2 or 3 weeks ago, while working out in his field looking for a water leak, his tractor rolled back on him and completely ran over both his lower legs. No bones were broken but he was so badly bruised and the muscles so badly smashed that he couldn't walk. His son helped him to the house. He said for the next 3 days he couldn't walk. His wife wanted to take him to the emergency room when it happened but he refused. He said he would've gone if he thought something serious had happened. After 3 days he noticed his legs were getting better and he could walk on crutches, but he's been on crutches now for 2 weeks. He told me he could put a little weight on them now, but they were still painful.

I told Jim that I hadn't been able to get much happening with Bobby for some reason, but that I believed if he'd let me put my hands on his legs and pray that Jesus would heal him right then and there. He and Susie agreed. Bobby was watching. I put my hands on his shoes (didn't want to touch his bruised legs and possibly cause him pain), and commanded his legs to be made whole and for pain to leave. Very casually (I love that!), Jim said, "They're getting warm." After a few seconds I asked him to try them out. He casually stood up without his crutches and walked over to the edge of the gazebo and spit (he had tobacco in his mouth), then calmly walked back to the seat and sat down and said, "I haven't been able to walk without my crutches for 2 weeks." So I asked if the pain was gone. He said, "Yep. Feels much better thank you."

He still had a bit of a limp, but he walked the rest of the time without his crutches. What I love most about this healing encounter was its casualness. Neither Susie nor Jim got excited but just thanked Jesus and continued with their visit.

Yes, that is how simple it should be to get others healed. It is as easy as the forgiveness of sins. You simply accept it, and move on. Thank You, Jesus, for the provision of both forgiveness of sins and the healing of our bodies in Your work of redemption!

25-Apr-2010 (Sun) - Jesus Heals in a Baptist Church

Sunday (25-Apr-2010), me and my family sang at a local Baptist church (Greenwood Baptist Church) in Johnson City, TN. It was a fun time had by all and I believe the congregation was genuinely touched by our words of encouragement and praise & worship of Jesus. After the service, a couple of young ladies (teenagers) came up and talked with my middle daughter, Karahann, about music. After they finished talking to her, I was in the foyer waiting on her, and the two young ladies came walking down the isle toward the foyer to go home. I noticed the smaller one was walking with a limp. She was only wearing one flip flop on her left foot. I spoke to them and then inquired about her foot, which was obviously causing her some pain. She said a friend of hers had dropped a 3-liter coke bottle on it and it was painful, so she couldn't put much weight on it... thus, the limp. I offered to pray for her. She agreed. I asked her name and she told me it was "Brooklyn" (very lovely name!). I stooped down and put my hand on her foot and said something along the lines like, "Father, I thank you for Brooklyn and her heart for You. I thank you Jesus that you loved her enough to bear all her pain on the cross. Now, show her how much you love her right now. Pain, I command you in Jesus' name to leave Brooklyn's foot right now." Then I looked up at her and said, "Check it out... put some weight on it and see." She slowly put some of her weight on her foot. Suddenly her mouth dropped open and her eyes widened and she looked over to her friend and said something like, "Oh my gosh! It worked! I can't believe it. It really worked. It doesn't hurt anymore... amazing!" She walked down the steps, not limping any more.

As I was walking out to the parking lot, I saw her and her friend get in a pickup truck with, I assumed, her dad. I waved and motioned questioning about her foot. She smiled really big and shook her head "yes" and gave me a thumbs up.

Jesus didn't care that it said Baptist on the front door... and neither did I. Thank You again Jesus!

21-Apr-2010 (Wed) - Nurse's unexpected encounter with Jesus

Yesterday as I was leaving from visiting my father-in-law in the assisted living home, I was walking toward the exit door and spoke to a nurse, who had her medicine cart with her, arranging medicines for the various occupants. I just merely said, "Have a nice day and don't work too hard" being polite as I smiled and waved. She responded with something like, "Oh, I'll try, but wow, my back is really hurting today, but it'll just have to get over it. Have a nice day too!" How do you let that go? I already had my hand on the exit door... but I let it go and turned to her and asked, "Can I pray for your back?" Here in TN, it is truly rare if anyone would turn down such an offer; it just wouldn't be socially polite. So she said it would be fine. I warned her I was just going to put my hand lightly on her back. She said that was OK. It was a simple "prayer" and I just commanded her back to be healed and that Jesus took her pain. "Do you feel that?" Her back was immediately hot. She said, "Well, your hand is hot." I said, "It's not my hand, see?" showing her my hands were cool. She got a very puzzled look on her face and said, "Well, I do feel something warm." I said, "That's Father's power loving on you." She clearly did not believe that and tried to argue, "No, that's just the warmth of your hand there before..." I didn't argue, I just said, "Try it out." She moved around. I was already walking away smiling and looking back. As I was leaving, I saw her mouth drop open and she looked at me through the door and said, "I'm not kidding! It really doesn't hurt!" I waved and said, "I know. Have a nice day!"

Awesome Jesus!

09-Apr-2010 (Fri) - More Knee Stuff

I came home late and my daughter, Kayla [see pic right], was sitting on the den couch with her boyfriend, but she had a knee wrap on her knee. As I came in the door and greeted everyone and asked about her knee, she said something like, "Dad! I'm so glad you're home. I woke up with my knee sore again. Please lay hands on me." Her boyfriend (Cody), had provided the wrap because Kayla was hobbling around that evening. I said to Cody, "Cody, you're going to like this; it's going to blow your mind." I removed the wrap carefully from her knee... it was a bit swollen and puffy in places and we both poked it here and there with our fingers and Kayla verified it was very painful. So, I talked about Jesus for a few moments (mainly for Cody's benefit) and told him something was going to happen when we prayed. I could tell he was anxious, but, of course, skeptical.

I laid my hands on Kayla's knee and I have to say it was the most powerful manifestation I've yet seen. My hands "lit up" with the strongest tingling I've ever felt. Kayla's knee began to "move around" under my hand... very weird. I said to Cody, "Check it out... put your hand there and feel that." After a while, he did. I could tell it was messing with him; he felt "stuff" moving around. Then suddenly, her knee "shifted" (for lack of a better term) on the inside. Kayla's eyes widened and we all were surprised. She said it felt good. All pain immediately left, and in a matter of seconds, all swelling went down while it continued to tingle.

She then invited us to poke it anywhere. We did... no pain whatsoever. She stood up, straightened it out, did several knee bends, and even a few clogging steps... no pain, no stiffness, no swelling!

I honestly have to say it was the most amazing 100% healing I've ever witnessed... the best part... I didn't feel any more spiritual... in fact, I was dead tired.

Cody was blown away. He said something like, "I've never seen anything like that before. I KNOW it was painful before. That is why I went and got the wrap for her!" Kayla, on the other hand, indicated it wasn't all that unusual. Amen, because of Jesus in us.

07-April-2010 (Wed) - Medical Confirmation, Knee & Cramps

Received the following e-mail from Delores regarding her healing (see here):
Hi
Well I went to the doc at the pain clinic today. I didn't get the shot. My pain level is about 1.5! He poked around on my leg then really poked hard......no pain. He said Are you the same woman that I saw 8 weeks ago? LOL He never asked questions and I didn't offer any explanation, but he was a bit surprised. I would love to have the mri done again to see if there is a difference in my back! I hope to get with you all again and finish what we have started.
Love you both
D
Wonderful Jesus!

Also, last night, 06-Apr-2010 (Tue), my daughter Kayla came home after a long night of dancing with a swollen and painful knee. As is quite normal for her, she came immediately to me for me to lay hands on it. I did, and commanded it to be made whole. In just a few minutes, it got warm, the swelling went down, and then something unusual happened... it popped and cracked several times under my hand. Kayla felt it. She was soon walking without pain.

Also, last night, my daughter Karahann had come home early from work sick with stomach pains and achy joints. I laid hands on her several times and we finally started getting things happening after a long while. Much of her joint pain began to diminish and her cramps began to settle down... down to a point that she could finally go to sleep.

I love Jesus. He is so incredibly faithful that He is almost like a Divine Machine. I believe He is so faithful to heal that we could actually write mathematical formulas to describe Him, if such a mathematical language existed.

05-Apr-2010 (Mon) - No Cane & No Pain

Friday (02-Apr-2010), my sister TammyC called and wanted me to lay hands on a coworker of hers, Deena [see pic left] for her knee pain. She'd hurt her knee and tore something (the doctor thinks) and is scheduled for an MRI tomorrow (Tuesday, 06-Apr-2010). Deena has been walking on a cane for several days. Friday, her pain was very severe and "hot" as she described it to me. Since I was meeting my wife & girls at a restaurant about 7:30pm, I asked if TammyC & Deena could meet me in the parking lot about 7pm. They did. Deena hobbled up on her cane. I've actually known her since high school, so she knows me pretty well. She's also been involved with my dad's company for many years. She's a very happy individual and always smiling. I related to her the fact that she knows I'm nothing special and no one special. I told her all believers could do what I was about to do (John 14:12); Jesus said so. I basically talked to her about Jesus and gave her a couple of testimonies of healings I'd been involved with and then I summed up with something like, "...that's why, when I lay my hands on you in just a few seconds, you're going to feel something happen to your knee. It's going to be really good as Jesus shows you His love for you!" She admitted later that through all this she was completely skeptical the whole time, but listened politely. I asked permission to lay hands on her knee (it is not advisable to just touch a person of the opposite sex without considering decency and order). She gave me permission. I thanked Father for her and what He did for us, and then commanded her knee to be made well in Jesus' Name, "right now!" To make a long story a bit shorter, a few seconds later, her eyes got big, and she smiled really big, and she said something like, "My knee is getting very cold. It really is! It is getting cold right down to the bone!" She said it felt really good because of her "hot" pain she'd had all that day. She had not been able to straighten out her leg nor put much weight on it for days. After about 5-10 minutes she could not only straighten out her leg, but put ALL her weight on it! She held her cane up in the air and said, "I guess I don't need this thing anymore." She was in tears of joy. Praise You Jesus. I checked on her yesterday (Sunday, 04-Apr-2010) and she was still walking without pain and without cane.

Very late that same day (about midnight), my cousin, John [see pic of John & his mom, right] called me and said he had all the classic symptoms of kidney stones. Severe abdominal pain running from his kidney on his side, & he couldn't urinate, etc. He was thinking of going to the ER, but wanted me to pray for him first. I offered to go to his house and lay hands on him, but he said, "No, that's OK, I know it's late. I believe if you pray over the phone, Jesus will heal me." Wow, cool, John. That's the kind of person you want to pray for. We talked just a few seconds about Jesus healing all in a multitude, but didn't talk too long as he was in great pain. Then I commanded the kidney stones to be dissolved, and for pain to immediately leave his body because Jesus bore all his pain. Nothing happened immediately but he wasn't discouraged at all. He said he believed it would work just like the time I prayed for his back and it was healed. Awesome, again. I checked on him the next day and he said that after we got off the phone he got really sleepy, laid down and went to sleep immediately and woke up with no symptoms at all. Wonderful Jesus!

So, even though, still yet, I've been having trouble getting my father-in-law's healing to manifest, others are still getting healed... it makes me even more determined to get healing to my father-in-law.

19-Mar-2010 (Fri) - Skeptic Feels Jesus; Unexpected Encounter

Yesterday (Thu, 18-Mar-2010), I took my normal business trip (by car, 5hrs there, work a while, 5hrs back). One of my business friends, whom I've known for some time, is basically an unbeliever. He was raised being exposed to pentecostal beliefs and people, but became offended by all of it and became a skeptic. He is a very sweet man and very genuine, a good friend. One month ago, when I visited on my regular trip, he had injured his back exercising, and he was in quite a bit of pain. I offered to lay my hands on him telling him, "I believe if I do this, Jesus will heal your back and relieve you of your pain right away." He basically replied with something like, "If you are going to lay your hands on me like my grandmother would, then I'm going to vigorously decline." I reminded him that he knew me and made him this offer: "If I lay hands on you and nothing happens, you can make fun of me. If I lay hands on you and something does happen, you will be out of pain. It is a win-win situation for you!" This seemed to tickle him, and he responded something like: "I admire your boldness and I know you are sincere. So, if I'm not better by the next time you visit, I'll take you up on your offer."

So, on my trip yesterday he specifically asked me to make sure I dropped by his office before leaving. I did. He then asked me to go ahead and try it. I laid my hands on him and very quietly and casually commanded his back to be made well. I could feel his back heating up in one spot. "Do you feel that?" He did. I asked him to test it. He did. "Does it feel any better?" He said, "Do I have to commit?" LOL! I said, "No, just asking if it got any better." He said, "I'll have to admit that it doesn't hurt like it did. Something has changed, but I'll let you know." I'll take that! I could tell he was dealing with the reality of it all. Go Jesus!

Next, I had made a friend on a forum a couple of weeks ago, and he had mentioned he was praying with an elderly lady (Doris) from a certain town in Georgia. I mentioned that I drive right through there every 2 weeks. So he asked me if I would mind laying hands on her and praying with her. I contacted Doris, and she agreed to meet me at a McDonalds in that town. So, yesterday (Thu, 18-Mar-2010), I met her on my way home. She brought a friend (Cindy) who was a little older than me as well and who also needed prayer. We talked about 30 minutes about Jesus and healing.

Cindy had been to a healing/deliverance facility and had been given by the minister there things that she needed to do in order to get healed and delivered, but she had done everything that minister told her to do and was none better. So I told Cindy if we could get in a time machine and go back 2000 years ago and stand in the crowd listening to Jesus, that Jesus would've just healed her and not given her a list of things to do because He never did that as shown in any scripture in the New Testament. I could tell this really touched her heart. She was suffering from depression and neck and spine issues. I laid hands on her and commanded her spine to be healed and depression to leave. Her neck and shoulders got very warm; she could feel it. Before I left, she had much relief from pain and stiffness. In fact I asked her to try to find the pain (she had shown me how if she pressed on a certain area it was extremely painful). She couldn't find it! Wonderful Jesus! This really surprised her and I could tell her heart was lifted. She was smiling and even gave me a hug.

Doris was suffering from diabetes and a lower back problem. Her back hurt her if she stood too long (several minutes). She also said she had psoriasis (very itchy skin rash). I laid hands on her back and it got warm in one spot down low. We couldn't really test it because it requires her standing a long time, so she said she'd let me know. I told her to go home and stand in front of the sink and wash the dishes (she'd mentioned that was when it hurt). She said she would. Then I took her hands and commanded psoriasis to leave her body and never come back. She felt a little sensation, she said. Then I commanded diabetes to depart her body and for all insulin levels to return to normal (the night before her sugar had been 400+!). Suddenly she felt very cold all over! She was so cold her teeth were chattering. I've never heard that before, but it made sense that it was all over her body. Of course, there was no way to test her sugar level at that moment, but she certainly felt something. She said she'd let me know about that as well. I'm sure Jesus was at work healing her body.

Praise Him for His always wonderful faithfulness and work!
