22-Jan-2011 (Sat) - Sweet Teenager's Eardrums Healed

This was one of the most honest and moving healings I've ever been involved with. My whole family (including my oldest daughter, Kimberly, and her husband, Grant, and their new son, Gunnar) all went to church on Saturday night (22-Jan-2011) to watch close friends of ours (Chuck & Denise) daughter, Chelsi, do an interpretive dance to a worship song. Chelsi [see pic right] is a delightful young teenager that is very beautiful and pure-hearted. She looked very graceful performing the dance. I had actually prayed for Chelsi and her dad, Chuck before with wonderful results (see here).
Afterward we all decided to go to Cracker Barrel for dinner. During dinner, Denise asked me if I would lay hands on Chelsi for an ear problem she was having. OK, no problem, Jesus works in Cracker Barrel. :)
So after dinner we all went to the store section of Cracker Barrel. We found a little out-of-the-way corner in the store and I asked Denise what Chelsi's issue was. She said Chelsi had had tubes in her ears for a very long time, and when they were finally removed, they discovered her eardrums had holes in them. Evidently, this is a common occurrence for cases such as this (I didn't know this and I don't pretend to even know what I'm talking about here). Anyway, Chelsi's had terrible hearing loss due to this and the doctor wanted to see if the eardrums would close up on their own without having to send Chelsi away to a specialist to fix them.
So, I had everybody hold hands, and I took both of Chelsi's hands in mine and began to thank Father for His love for Chelsi, and for His work in Jesus to heal her. Then with the authority Jesus gave all believers, I commanded her eardrums to be healed, right now, in Jesus' Name. There was no change in her hearing. So I asked if I could put my hands on her ears. Of course. Then I put my hands close to her ears and commanded healing again, then briefly touched her ears.
Suddenly, she began to cry. She grabbed her mother and hugged her tight while sobbing, "I can hear better!" It was the sweetest thing ever. She grabbed all of us individually and thanked us for praying for her.
Later that night she sent me a text message:
Thank ya'll sooo much for coming tonight! It was sooo fun hangin out w/yall! I love you all like tons and tons! I really can hear better!
Then later, she posted a comment on my Facebook wall:
:') Thank you Gregberry, for letting HIM, touch me...through YOU! ♥ It's an amazing morning! :) Love you tons! ♥
Yeah, I know, "Gregberry" ... hahaha! It is a sweet pet-name she calls me. I told you she was very sweet.

Praise Jesus for His faithfulness and love for us all!

14-Jan-2011 (Fri) - Elbow & Shoulder Injury Healed

Wednesday, 12-Jan-2011, a young man (Justin; see pic right), friend of one of my daughters, came over to eat supper with us. After supper my wife (TammyM) and youngest daughter (Kayla) went up the street to visit my oldest daughter (Kimberly) and my new grandson (Gunnar). I was sitting in my entertainment room reading. I overheard my middle daughter (Karahann) talking to Justin and Justin began to tell a story of how when he was much younger (a few years ago) he had fallen on his arm in a strange way and injured his whole arm and shoulder. This injury ended his baseball-playing days as a kid. The doctors told him he had fractured something (I didn't hear what it was), and done some kind of nerve damage. I looked up and I saw Karahann looking at me with a smile because she knew what was going to happen next.

I began to ask Justin about his injury. I asked him if it still hurt and he told me, "Not really, it just feels a little different. But when I go to pick up something at work, that's when I really feel it. It hurts then." Then he showed me that every time he straightened his arm his elbow would pop. He said, "It does that every time and has done that for years. It feels like it is going to pop out of joint." So, knowing he was a believer in Jesus, I asked if I could lay hands on his elbow and pray. Of course, he agreed.

Without delay, his elbow got extremely warm inside; I could feel it heating up. This is a sure sign we are connected to Father and Jesus is healing something. I don't know if the heat is doing the healing, or if the healing is generating the heat, but I have learned it is a very common manifestation when things are working. I asked him if he felt that heat. He said, "Oh yeah, it is getting very hot inside. My shoulder is getting hot too." I felt his shoulder, it was merely a bit warmer on the outside than his other shoulder. But he said it was really hot inside. He was a little freaked out at first, but I comforted him simply by telling him he was a believer in Jesus Christ, and this is just what Jesus told us to do.

After a few minutes, I said, "OK, try it out. See if it feels any different to you." He stretched out his arm and it didn't pop! This shocked him. He said, "Wow! It didn't pop!" He told me I couldn't really appreciate this because it has popped every single time for years. He rolled his shoulder around and told me everything felt good and very different. I told him this is what Jesus wants us to do. He said he'd never really thought about it much. So I gave him a couple of testimonies and told him it was not a gift, but merely simple faith, and that he could do this just as easily.

We talked about Jesus for about 30 minutes and I could tell he was very moved by the "Show & Tell" gospel. I told him he must back up the gospel with power and that you don't have to be weird or gifted to do it. I encouraged him to try what I just did with him on his friends and family. Then I left them alone so they could talk a bit without me.

Before he left, I asked him to check his arm and shoulder again... he did, his arm didn't pop and everything felt better he said.

Thank You Jesus for being so faithful and loving all of us the way You do.

09-Jan-2011 (Sun) - Grandfather & Stuff

A lot has happened since last blog. On 05-Dec-2011 I became a grandfather as my oldest daughter (Kimberly) and her husband (Grant) had their first son, Gunnar Aaron [see pic right] weighing in at 4 lbs 10 oz! He was a little guy, but, wow! is he growing fast. As of yesterday (08-Jan-2011) he has already gained up to 7 lbs 5 oz! Already, half-a-dozen times or so, when Gunnar has had the hiccups or tummy-ache, we have laid hands on him commanded hiccups or tummy-ache to go, and have had instant results! God's life flows to little babies beautifully, especially if the parents believe in the healing power of Jesus.

During the whole month of December over the Christmas holidays and through New Years we have had lots of snow and it has been difficult to get out and about on several days. We've seen lots of family and visited Gunnar many times as he just lives up the street from us. During this time I've had the chance to lay hands on family members for several minor things and seen good results.

Of late, a young friend of mine (Mike) has had symptoms of diabetes. We prayed back in October and for a couple of weeks he had no symptoms (see here) and so we thought he was 100% healed, as reported in that blog. However, after a couple of weeks his symptoms returned. We prayed again, and for another week he had no symptoms again, then they returned again. Next, he had a friend of mine pray with him over chat on Facebook, and, yes, once again, the symptoms disappeared for over a week and yet returned again. He returned to chat a 2nd time and saw the symptoms disappear once again for a week. (Noticing a pattern here? Yeah, me too.) Then, one night a couple of weeks ago, when my Bible study was cancelled I asked him to come on over to the house anyways and we would pray again. This time when I laid hands on him I felt tingling in my fingers (I very rarely feel anything at all), and he felt something move around on the inside of him, in an appropriate location (pancreas area). Once again, his symptoms completely disappeared for more than a week. But now, his symptoms have returned again! So, this time I told him we were going to have to hit it until he felt 100% like it was gone, ever how long we had to stay and pray. He agreed. So we are scheduling a meeting time to do just that.

I've seen similar symptoms of, say, a backache return on someone when at first they seem healed (though not 100% healed), however, in all those cases I've been involved with, when the victim returns for prayer I always ask them, "Are the symptoms identical to the ones you had before?" and so far, 100% of the time the answer has been, "No, not entirely." The symptoms are in a different location, or feel very different. What this has meant to me in the past is they actually got a partial healing of their problem, and the part that didn't get healed was still there and caused problems again. But in each case multiple prayers has eventually gotten them 100% healed with no symptoms returning.

Also during December, my cousin (John) called me and said he had lower back pain with a very painful sciatic nerve shooting through his buttock and down his leg. I went to his office after work one day and laid hands on him for this pain. His lower back got pretty warm and he felt the sharp edge of the pain leave him. When I left, he no longer had the sciatic-nerve pain, and could walk without limping. We just believed Jesus would continue the work begun. Praise Jesus!
