I've been told by an adherent to "narrow grace" view that sin does not exist any more and that believers do not need forgiveness any longer. This is patently false. I would call that "lawlessness." God did not ever promise to remove His law. Instead the promises of God for the New Covenant are clearly to write the laws of God on our hearts and give us a new heart that we can follow them. Jesus internalized the laws of God. He is the one that said not only is murder wrong, but hate (which leads to murder) is the same thing!

God's grace is not to save us IN our sins, but to save us FROM them. He has given us power to change our bad behavior, not just get excused from our bad behavior.

So if you read this book by Cornel Marais, I would recommend you not forget this one passage about grace:

"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, TRAINING US to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to REDEEM US FROM ALL LAWLESSNESS and to PURIFY for himself a people for his own possession who are ZEALOUS FOR GOOD WORKS" (Titus 2:11-14).QuantumGreghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07410047060125951426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7278360302231776916.post-61452527613881213222012-06-21T02:07:28.005-07:002012-06-21T02:07:28.005-07:00Have you ever wondered why more miracles are not b...Have you ever wondered why more miracles are not being done in the church? It's because Christians do not understand who Jesus was/is and who they are "in Christ." They also do not understand what the will of God is for all believers - Reconciliation - and the answers are found in a very timely book, "So Your Mind Is Renewed?" by Cornel Marais, and it is available on Amazon.com. I also downloaded it on my Kindle. It's a great read. You can thanks me later. jimmy2u@mac.comJimmy2uhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13516526408218985955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7278360302231776916.post-72287223247363132202012-05-15T06:29:10.091-07:002012-05-15T06:29:10.091-07:00Ann, praying for you. I saw your site earlier...Wonderful of Jesus, Greg,

I saw your site earlier today (9.5.12) and how you realized that the greatest hindrance to getting others healed is believing there are hindrances to getting others healed and how you relaxed. I am looking for healing of "an incurable" bone marrow disease that I have currently and have a dreaded hospital appointment on Monday 12th May in the morning 9.30 UK time. I have no doubt Jesus heals but doubts still creep in. Like you I would like to help others. Your testimony is very powerful.

God Bless you in your work through Jesus.

Ann
Ann GatesAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
